Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel:
- Minimum 5 years of practice in Criminal Law.
- Must have handled at least 10 criminal trials in Sessions Courts.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of criminal law and ethical duties of a defence counsel.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- IT proficiency is required.
- Assistant Legal Aid Defence Counsel:
- 0 to 3 years of practice in Criminal Law.
- Good communication, writing, and research skills.
- Familiarity with ethical duties of a defence counsel.
- IT knowledge with high proficiency.
