Essential Qualification and Experience:
Director of Prosecution
- Degree in Law from a recognized university
- Ability to communicate in English, Nepali, and any other language of the State
- Must be registered as an Advocate in the Bar Council of the State
- Must have:
- 15 years of continuous practice in criminal cases as an Advocate
OR - Be a Serving or Retired Sessions Judge
- 15 years of continuous practice in criminal cases as an Advocate
Assistant Directors of Prosecution
- Degree in Law from a recognized university
- Ability to communicate in English, Nepali, and any other language of the State
- Must be registered as an Advocate in the Bar Council of the State
- Must have:
- 7 years of continuous practice in criminal cases as an Advocate
OR - Be a Serving or Retired Magistrate of the First Class
- 7 years of continuous practice in criminal cases as an Advocate
