Essential Qualification and Experience:

Director of Prosecution

• Degree in Law from a recognized university
• Ability to communicate in English, Nepali, and any other language of the State
• Must be registered as an Advocate in the Bar Council of the State
• Must have:
  • 15 years of continuous practice in criminal cases as an Advocate
    OR
  • Be a Serving or Retired Sessions Judge

Assistant Directors of Prosecution

• Degree in Law from a recognized university
• Ability to communicate in English, Nepali, and any other language of the State
• Must be registered as an Advocate in the Bar Council of the State
• Must have:
  • 7 years of continuous practice in criminal cases as an Advocate
    OR
  • Be a Serving or Retired Magistrate of the First Class
