About MARG
Multiple Action Research Group (MARG), a Delhi-based non-governmental organization (NGO) with over 38 years of experience, focuses on legal awareness, legal assistance, building legal capacity, and effective governance and policy development. MARG is currently seeking a Project Director for its dynamic team.

Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Council and Chairperson of MARG, the Director (Programme) plays a crucial role in driving the formulation of the program strategy. Responsibilities include guiding Project Coordinators, overseeing program implementation, and contributing to resource mobilization. The ideal candidate should be dedicated to promoting the rule of law, securing human rights, justice, and democracy.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Strategy

  • Collaborate with project oversight committees, executive council, executive director, and Chairperson to implement suggestions and enhance projects.
  • Finalize strategies and action plans for each program.
  • Lead annual plans and budget processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate program deliverables in line with annual plans.
  • Guide research and policy analysis on issues arising from MARG’s work.
  • Contribute to the theory of change and results framework for all programs/projects.
  • Stay informed about stakeholders’ priorities and interests.
  • Update strategic priorities by tracking sectoral developments through research and participation in discussion forums.

Programme Implementation

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate programmatic vision/goals into MARG’s annual program strategy.
  • Develop MARG’s overall annual program planning and implementation strategy.
  • Execute and expand program implementation strategy to explore new opportunities.
  • Interact with research experts to enhance the knowledge base and identify program activities.
  • Develop the framework and procedures for conceptualizing, developing, and implementing programs and projects.

Networking and Stakeholders Engagement

  • Engage the wider community to seek multi-stakeholder support for MARG’s program mandate.
  • Represent the organization at forums to influence policies related to the rule of law and gender equality.
  • Lead institutional activities related to engagement with stakeholders.
  • Build sustainable relationships with key stakeholders for support in policy formulation and execution.

Resource Mobilization

  • Assist in resource mobilization by planning and executing a comprehensive strategy.
  • Lead project teams in document writing, budgetary implementation, and report generation.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration with bilateral and multilateral organizations and foundations.

Eligibility

  • Qualification: Master’s degree or equivalent in Law/Social Work/Management or a related area from a premier university/institute.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years, with at least 3 years in leadership roles focusing on rights-based approaches, legal empowerment, or public policy.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of rule of law, gender equality, and rights-based issues, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.
