Position: Legal Aid Lawyers
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel
- Minimum of 10 years of practice in criminal law.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of criminal law.
- Understanding of the ethical responsibilities of a defense counsel.
- Leadership ability, with experience managing a team.
- Experience in handling at least 30 criminal trials in Sessions Courts.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems preferred.
Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel
- Minimum of 7 years of practice in criminal law.
- Proficient in criminal law and legal research.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of ethical duties of defense counsel.
- Collaborative working skills.
- Experience in handling at least 20 criminal trials in Sessions Courts.
- Proficiency in IT and office work.
Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel
- Practice in criminal law from 0 to 3 years.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of ethical responsibilities of defense counsel.
- Strong writing and research abilities.
- High proficiency in IT skills.
