About the Opportunity

DP World is currently seeking applications for the position of DGM Legal for its Mumbai office.

Roles and Responsibilities

End-to-end management of the contract management cycle.
Drafting and negotiation of contracts, evaluation of RFP, bid documents, risk assessment, and deviation matrix preparation.
Ensuring legal compliance in all areas of company business operations.
IT enablement and implementation of an Online Compliance Tool for different units.
Proactive awareness building among internal stakeholders about compliance requirements and changes in law.
Preparation of guidance notes on applicable areas of law.
Keeping abreast of changes in laws and regulations, ensuring compliance.
Providing legal advice to business on various matters.
Advising management on all aspects related to commercial contracts.
Coordinating and participating in dispute resolution.
Monitoring and reviewing various commercial/contractual activities.
Handling litigation/arbitration for commercial matters and liaising with external lawyers and consultants.
Attending meetings with internal and external customers, independently handling discussions.
Preparation, maintenance, and monitoring of MIS, SOPs, and company policies.
