Essential Qualification and Skills

Candidates must possess an LL.B. degree from a recognised university.

Applicants should also have:

• Demonstrated interest in consumer law, public policy, technology law, competition law, regulatory governance or related fields.
• Excellent legal research, analytical and writing skills.
• Familiarity with legal research databases such as:
  • SCC Online;
  • Manupatra;
  • HeinOnline;
  • Westlaw;
  • LexisNexis; or equivalent resources.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

The following will be considered desirable:

• LL.M. degree or enrolment in an LL.M. programme.
• Prior experience as a Research Assistant, Law Clerk, Academic Researcher, Journal Editor or Policy Researcher.
• Experience with empirical research methodologies, data analysis or policy research.
• Publications in journals, blogs, newspapers or edited volumes.
• Experience in organising academic events, workshops or conferences.
• Familiarity with citation standards, academic publishing and manuscript editing.
