Internship Opportunity at Centre for Research & Planning, Supreme Court of India

Introduction
The Centre for Research & Planning (CRP) at the Supreme Court of India is inviting applications for its internship program for the year 2024. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for law students to gain practical experience in a prestigious legal environment.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be enrolled in a law degree program recognized by the Bar Council of India.
  • Applicants should be either in the 4th or 5th year of a five-year law program or in the 3rd year of a three-year law program on the dates they seek to intern at the CRP.
  • Candidates must be below the age of 28.

How to Apply?
Interested candidates can apply by filling out the online application form available at the end of the post. The application form will require the following documents:

  1. A copy of the curriculum vitae (not more than 2 pages).
  2. A statement of purpose (350-500 words) explaining why the applicant wishes to intern at the CRP and how this internship aligns with their career goals.
  3. A writing sample (1,500-3,000 words), showcasing the applicant’s writing proficiency and ability to analyze a legal issue. The writing sample may be an extract of a longer written piece.

The CRP may conduct telephonic interviews if deemed appropriate.

Conditions of Engagement

  • The minimum duration of the internship is 4 (four) weeks.
  • All interns must be physically present and work out of the CRP offices at the Supreme Court in New Delhi.
  • Office hours are 10:00 am to 5:30 pm (Mon-Fri) and 10:00 am to 1:00 pm (Saturdays).
  • Interns are expected to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
  • No intern should accept or participate in any other assignment for any other lawyer or organization during the internship.
  • Confidential information acquired during the internship must not be disclosed or published unless required by law.
  • The Supreme Court does not offer remuneration to interns.
  • All interns will be under the supervision and administrative authority of the Director, Centre for Research and Planning, Supreme Court of India.
