About the Job: PeepalCo is seeking a legal counsel to provide legal advice on issues related to cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and the regulatory environment. This role involves managing compliance, protecting consumer interests, and mitigating legal risks.
Eligibility:
- Understanding of the legal landscape surrounding cryptocurrencies in India.
- Advanced knowledge of financial market regulations, commercial laws, IT laws, IP laws, and data protection laws.
- Exceptional legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to draft and negotiate service, vendor, IP, and tech-related commercial contracts with minimal supervision.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, making decisions under ambiguity, and managing multiple changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong business acumen and a passion for technology.
- Passion for the transformative power of cryptocurrency and shaping its legal future.
- LL.B. from a recognized law college with 5 to 7 years of PQE, preferably with exposure to fintech, securities, payments, or financial services sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leading professionals in the Crypto and Fintech sectors in India to solve challenges for Indian consumers of financial products.
- Engage with industry leaders, participate in policy discussions, and help shape the legal framework for emerging technologies.
- Provide essential legal support and guidance on cryptocurrency regulations, commercial transactions, and general legal compliance.
