About the Opportunity
As Corporate Counsel at Google, you will address exciting legal issues requiring innovative and proactive guidance. You’ll be part of an exceptional team of in-house lawyers, engaging in projects that challenge conventional legal thinking.
Your role will involve supporting the Google Cloud business in India and West Asia, providing commercial and regulatory legal assistance. You’ll draft agreements, advise on compliance, and handle legal risks for a rapidly growing, cutting-edge tech company.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements related to Google Cloud operations in India and West Asia.
- Create and manage business templates while training and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Conduct legal reviews for Google’s products, marketing, and business initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across all aspects of Google’s operations.
- Oversee litigation matters, liaise with regulators, and manage regulatory inquiries.
- Provide legal guidance to cross-functional teams including Business, Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Finance.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications:
- JD, LL.B., or equivalent degree with relevant practical experience.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or authorized to practice law in the state of employment.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or law firm.
- 7+ years of legal experience in commercial transactions.
- Knowledge Areas:
- Privacy, consumer protection, antitrust, contracts, content moderation/safety, or IP law in a technology context.
