Roles & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Real Estate Financing Documentation
- Drafting and vetting legal documents for:
- Real Estate Project Financing.
- Loan Origination.
- Acquisition of loans from other lenders.
- Other ancillary and incidental financing transactions.
Legal Advisory
- Providing legal advice, opinions, and support to business teams for structuring and closing lending transactions.
- Assisting business teams in achieving commercial objectives while ensuring legal compliance.
Legal Research & Regulatory Updates
- Studying and analysing laws relating to:
- Real Estate
- Construction Finance
- Banking and Financial Services
- Keeping stakeholders updated on significant judicial decisions and regulatory developments affecting documentation and business operations.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Conducting legal training sessions for front-end and back-end teams.
- Responding to legal queries from internal stakeholders.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Conducting periodic legal checks of live and disbursed loan accounts.
- Identifying documentation deficiencies and recommending corrective measures.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
Coordination with External Counsel
- Liaising with external law firms regarding:
- Transaction structuring.
- Legal documentation.
- Due diligence.
- Legal opinions.
- Other transaction-related legal matters.
