Essential Qualification and Experience
Candidates should possess:
- An LL.B. degree.
- At least 8 years of experience in the law/legal field.
- Basic understanding of GDPR case preparation, including preparation of case-file notes and briefs for the General Counsel and other stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating with external lawyers and internal stakeholders for drafting, managing, distributing and responding to litigation and regulatory queries and requirements.
- Working closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders on legal matters.
- Handling complex legal issues that cross organizational and geographical boundaries and advising business functions on legal issues.
- Advising on compliance and legal matters.
- Developing a clear understanding of EY’s policies and procedures.
- Applying relevant laws, with particular emphasis on corporate laws and data privacy laws.
- Understanding legal procedures, protocols and the functioning of various courts and tribunals in India.
- Drafting, vetting and reviewing contracts, RFPs and NDAs.
- Understanding internal stakeholder requirements and ensuring that legal deliverables meet those requirements.
