Essential Qualification and Experience

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 6+ years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Certifications such as CIPT, CIPM, CIPPE, or other relevant data privacy certifications will be preferred.
  • Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, particularly India’s data protection framework.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Experience relating to cost centre accounting, profit centre accounting, internal orders, and product costing is also mentioned in the eligibility criteria.

Roles and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work as a Deputy Manager in Deloitte’s Cyber Team and will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with internal teams and clients with a focus on exceeding client expectations.
  • Developing data protection policies and procedures in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.
  • Conducting assessments to identify potential data privacy and protection risks and developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Monitoring and evaluating data processing activities to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and organizational policies.
  • Providing guidance and support to clients in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and risk assessments.
  • Advising clients on data governance and application privacy impact assessments.
  • Designing and developing security and privacy frameworks.
  • Designing or redesigning processes and privacy controls to support the development and implementation of privacy frameworks.
