• Position: District Judge (Entry Level)
• Pay Scale: Rs. 144840-194660 under Level J-5 of the new pay matrix
• Number of Vacancies: 37 (30 Unreserved, 2 Scheduled Castes, 2 Scheduled Tribes, 3 Other Backward Classes)

Eligibility Criteria

1. Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
2. Age:

• Must be between 35 and 45 years as of 01/01/2024.
• Upper age limit relaxation: 3 years for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes.

3. Qualifications:

• Degree in law from a recognized university.
• At least 7 years of practice as an advocate as of 01/01/2024.
• Good character, sound mind, and free from any disability impairing fitness for the appointment.

Application Process

1. Form Submission:

• Applications must be in the prescribed format available on the High Court website here.
• Attach duly attested certificates regarding date of birth, caste, qualifications, domicile, and experience.
• For Prosecuting Officers/Law Officers, No Objection Certificate from the Competent Authority must be provided.
• Certificate of practice as an Advocate from the appropriate authority must be included.

2. Examination Fee:

• Unreserved Category & Non-Residents of Chhattisgarh: Rs. 1000/-
• Residents of Chhattisgarh (Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes): Rs. 700/-
• Fees must be paid through a Challan at SBI branches. The original Challan must be attached to the application form.

3. Documents Required:

• Completed application form (A4 size).
• Four recent passport-sized photographs (self-attested).
• Two self-addressed envelopes (11” x 5”) with Rs. 25/- postal stamps each.

4. Submission:

• Submit the application by 31/08/2024, 5:00 P.M.
• Applications can be submitted by post or dropped in the designated box at the Registry office during office hours (10:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
