About the Research Project
YLCube is inviting applications for a research internship directed at the study of the National Highways in India from a legal perspective. The project aims to understand how the highway sector became one of the most commendable areas of government spending and trace its history from an underperforming infra-asset to its position in contemporary times.
The study shall identify the changes in law and policy which have enabled it to outperform all other infrastructural domains over the years. The project also aims to identify the roadblocks in further growth of the National Highways, such as problems within the Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways’ notices, circulars and their Model EPC, BOT, and HAM contracts et cetera.
Further, the project will conclude with suggestions to overcome these hindrances and pave the way for better policy.
Structure of Internship
It is a work-from-home, virtual internship wherein the project coordinators would review the progress daily through video conferencing. (Working hours are flexible)
Apart from the Certificate of internship & publication opportunity, the interns would have a hands-on experience in practical nuances of the law, working with team members from different parts of the country and exposure to the legal research structure.
A regular student of law, public policy, psychology, sociology, political science, or related fields interested in the subjects of study is eligible to apply. The learning affinity and a spirit for constructive research is a sine-qua-non.
