Essential Qualification and Experience
Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel
- Minimum 10 years of practice in criminal law.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of criminal law and ethical duties of a defense counsel.
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Must have handled at least 30 criminal trials in Sessions Courts.
- Knowledge of computer systems is preferable.
Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel
- Minimum 7 years of practice in criminal law.
- Excellent legal research skills and oral & written communication.
- Thorough understanding of ethical duties of defense counsel.
- Must have handled at least 20 criminal trials in Sessions Courts.
- Proficiency in IT work is required.
Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel
- Practice in criminal law from 0 to 3 years.
- Good communication skills and legal research ability.
- Proficiency in IT work is required.
