NITI Aayog invites applications for its Internship Scheme 2024 for June. This internship provides undergraduate/postgraduate students or research scholars with an opportunity to work closely with NITI’s verticals/divisions/cells, contributing to policy formulation and gaining exposure to governmental functioning and developmental policy issues.
About NITI Aayog:
NITI Aayog serves as the apex public policy think tank of the Government of India, catalyzing economic development and fostering cooperative federalism. With the Prime Minister as the Chairperson, NITI Aayog consists of distinguished members from various ministries.
Purpose:
- To provide short-term exposure to selected candidates with different verticals/divisions/units of NITI Aayog.
- To allow young academic talent to contribute to policy formulation and gain insights into government functioning.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Undergraduate students: Completed/appeared in the term-end exams of the second year/4th semester of the bachelor degree course, with not less than 85% or equivalent marks in 12th class.
- Graduate students: Completed/appeared in the term-end exams of the first year/2nd semester of their postgraduate program or pursuing research/PhD, with not less than 70% or equivalent marks in Graduation.
- Final year students awaiting admission to higher studies with 70% or more cumulative marks in all years/semesters of graduation/post-graduation are also eligible.
- The period between the declaration of the final exam result and the desired month of the internship should not exceed six months.
