Essential Qualifications and Experience

Professor (Law)

(A)

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • A Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
    • A minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
    • A total research score of 120 as per the UGC Regulations, 2018.
  2. Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor.
    • Evidence of successfully guiding doctoral candidates.

OR

(B)

  • Outstanding Professional:
    • A Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines from an academic institution or industry.
    • Must have made significant contributions to the knowledge in the discipline with 10 years of experience supported by documentary evidence.

Assistant Professor (Law)

(A)

  1. The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or a similar test like SLET/SET (subject to specific exemptions for Ph.D. holders). Exemptions for Ph.D. Degree Holders:
    • The Ph.D. degree must meet the following conditions if registered before July 11, 2009:
      a) Ph.D. degree awarded in a regular mode.
      b) Evaluation of the thesis by at least two external examiners.
      c) Open viva voce conducted.
      d) At least two research papers published from Ph.D. work, with one in a refereed journal.
      e) At least two papers presented in UGC/ICSSR/CSIR-sponsored conferences or seminars.

OR

(B)

  • Ph.D. from a Foreign University/Institution:
    • The degree must be from a university ranked among the top 500 in World University Rankings by QS, THE, or ARWU (Shanghai).

Associate Professor (Law)

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • A Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
  2. Experience:
    • A minimum of 8 years of teaching/research in an equivalent academic/research position.
    • Minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
    • Total research score of 75 as per UGC Regulations, 2018.
