PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION

(200 MARKS – 3 HRS)

PART-I

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE (50 MARKS) – (It will include day to day events around India and the world specially related to Law. Questions will be mainly asked from International law, Neutrality, Indian Constitution, Recent Legislations and Developments but will not be confined to it)

PART-II

LAW (150 MARKS)

  1. TPA
  2. HINDU LAW/ MUSLIM LAW
  3. INDIAN EVIDENCE ACT
  4. CrPC
  5. IPC
  6. CPC

MAINS EXAMINATION

Paper 1 – PRESENT DAY (150 marks)

This paper will consist of current events related to India & the world. Generally questions are asked from current developments in the legal field and on Jurisprudence, International Law, Neutrality, Recent Legislations, Constitutional Law and Development.

Paper 2 – Language (100 marks)

  1. Translation from English to Hindi – 30 marks
  2. Translation from Hindi to English – 30 marks
  3. Precis writing in English – 40 marks

Law Paper 1 : (200 Marks)

  1. Contract
  2. Partnership
  3. Trust, Easement and Equity
  4. Law of Tort
  5. Transfer of Property Act
  6. Hindu Law
  7. Muslim Law
  8. Specific Relief Act

Law Paper 2 : (200 Marks)

  1. Evidence Act
  2. Criminal Procedure Code
  3. Civil Procedure Code

Law Paper 3 : (Criminal, Revenue and Local Land Laws) : (200 marks)

  1. Indian Penal Code
  2. U.P, Zamindari Abolition & Land Reforms Act (as applicable to Uttrakhand)

Last stage is Interview which is of 100 marks.

Proper Knowledge of COMPUTER is essential.
