GSI is looking to hire young professionals for various roles, including Legal Assistants, to tackle specific, unique, and one-time tasks. These tasks encompass legal support, big data analytics, sustainable development goals, and more. The selected young professionals will contribute to the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations across GSI offices in different locations.

Roles and Responsibilities
As a Legal Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing legal support on issues facing GSI, including preparing comments on legal filings.
  • Scrutinizing counter affidavits received from Counsel and handling other legal tasks as assigned.
  • Maintaining a list of pending court cases and monitoring their progress.
  • Assisting in court proceedings, including attending hearings.
  • Drafting and vetting tender documents to avoid legal complications.
  • Providing legal opinions on various matters, including Service Level Agreements (SLA) and MoU/MoA.
  • Assisting in the drafting of reply statements for court and arbitration cases.
  • Managing court cases and attending hearings at various levels, including the Supreme Court, High Courts, and Administrative Tribunals.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Degree in law from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Two years post-qualification experience at the bar, or
  • Master’s Degree in law from a recognized University or Institute and one year post-qualification experience at the bar.
  • Work experience in the Court of Law or expertise in legal matters with sufficient working experience in a government Department.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
