About South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL): SECL, a Miniratna Public Sector Enterprise and a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, is the largest coal producing company in India. Operating across Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, SECL plays a crucial role in the coal mining sector.

Empanelment Details:

SECL invites applications from Advocates and Law Firms to be empanelled with its Legal Department. Empanelment aims to engage legal professionals to represent SECL’s interests before various courts and forums across India.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Advocates: Registered with Bar Council of India/State Bar Council, with specific court practice experience.
    • Supreme Court: 10 years
    • High Courts/Competition Appellate Tribunal: 5 years
    • Subordinate Courts/Tribunals: 5 years
  • Familiarity with various branches of law, particularly Mining Laws, Constitutional Law, Company Law, etc.
  • Preferential consideration for experience in handling cases of CPSEs and Government Departments.

General Terms & Conditions:

  • Empanelment duration: Initial 5 years, extendable for another 3 years.
  • Advocates/Firms should not handle cases against SECL or involving its interests.
  • Compliance with SECL’s Schedule of Fee and confidentiality requirements.

How to Apply:

  • Mode: Online applications only through SECL’s official website.
  • Application Period: From July 3, 2024 (10:00 HRS) to July 17, 2024 (24:00 HRS).
