SCHEME AND SYLLABUS SELECTION PROCESS:

  1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
  2. Written Main Examination (Subjective Type)
  3. Interview

Exam Pattern: The Exam Pattern will be as follows:

PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION

Screening test of objective questions of 100 marks, out of which 90 marks will cover:-

  1. General Knowledge, Aptitude, English,
  2. Constitution of India,
  3. Code of Civil Procedure,
  4. Code of Criminal Procedure,
  5. Transfer of Property Act,
  6. Indian Contract Act,
  7. Indian Penal Code,
  8. Indian Evidence Act,
  9. Law of Torts

Remaining 10 marks to test the proficiency in the Official Language(s) of the State of Assam (Assamese).

Eligibility criteria for Assam Judicial Service recruitment :

Applicants must possess a degree in law granted by a university recognised under Indian laws.
